Warm Lodge Inc., d/b/a Dash Credit, is a sovereign enterprise wholly-owned and
controlled by the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation, a federally-recognized
American Indian Tribe. As a tribal entity, Dash Credit operates as an economic
development arm of the Tribe, and the proceeds from our business fund
governmental services for tribal citizens.
How does this affect me as a borrower?
Because Dash Credit is a tribal entity, your loan is governed by Tribal law and
regulated by the Tribe, rather than by state law or state regulators. This means:
-
Applicable Law: Your loan agreement is governed by Tribal law and federal
law, not state law
-
Regulation: Dash Credit is regulated by tribal authorities, not state banking
or lending regulators
-
Dispute Resolution: Your loan agreement contains specific provisions for
resolving disputes through an internal complaint process followed by
individual arbitration or, in limited circumstances, small claims court
-
Sovereign Immunity: The Tribe and Dash Credit possess sovereign
immunity as governmental entities, with limited exceptions as described in
your loan agreement
What if I have a problem or dispute?
We’re committed to excellent customer service and want to resolve any issues
quickly and fairly. If you have a concern, here’s the process:
Step 1: Contact Our Customer Service Team
Most issues can be resolved directly with our support team. Contact us at 833-889-1294 or info@dashcredit.com.
Step 2: Internal Complaint Process
If your issue isn’t resolved through customer service, you can submit a formal
complaint to our Compliance Department. We’ll acknowledge your complaint
within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 days.
Step 3: Arbitration
If you’re dissatisfied with our response, your loan agreement provides for
individual arbitration before a neutral arbitrator. You choose the arbitration
organization and format (online, by phone, or in person). We typically pay all
arbitration fees (see your loan agreement for specifics).
Step 4: Small Claims Court (Optional)
Alternatively, either party may file an individual claim in small claims court.
However, the other party has 20 days to move the case to arbitration instead.
Important: The specific procedures, timelines, and your rights are detailed in your
loan agreement. We encourage you to review these terms carefully before
borrowing.
